Who is responsible
For enquiries submitted through this form, NextXI Africa (“NextXI”, “we” or “us”) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our Data Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@nextxi.co.za.
This notice is limited to website contact-form enquiries. Other NextXI services or activities may have separate privacy information.
What the form collects
When you submit an enquiry, we receive the name and email address you provide, your selected enquiry category, your message, and—if you choose to provide it—your organisation. The name, email, category and message fields are required; organisation is optional. If required details are missing or invalid, the form cannot be submitted; without a working email address, we may not be able to reply.
Please include only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not include identity numbers, financial or health details, or personal information about another person—especially a child—unless it is necessary and you are authorised to share it.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to:
- understand and direct your enquiry to the appropriate NextXI conversation;
- reply to you and manage any follow-up about that enquiry;
- maintain relevant correspondence and meet applicable legal obligations; and
- protect the contact form against spam and misuse.
POPIA’s lawful-processing conditions govern this use. For ordinary enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interests in receiving, assessing and responding to business enquiries, while respecting your rights. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to a marketing list.
Who may receive it
Your message is sent to NextXI’s enquiry team at info@nextxi.africa. It may be processed by the service providers that operate the website and deliver email on our behalf. We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Service providers may process information outside South Africa. If a cross-border transfer occurs, NextXI will make it only where a condition in section 72 of POPIA is met, including any required protection for the information.
Retention and protection
We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the resulting conversation, meet legal or record-keeping duties, and resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, we will delete or de-identify it where reasonably possible and where the law does not require us to retain it.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information as required by POPIA. If a security compromise involving your information triggers a notification duty, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as the law requires.
Your privacy rights
Subject to POPIA and other applicable laws, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold your personal information and request access to it;
- correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained; and
- object, on reasonable grounds relating to your situation, to processing where POPIA gives you that right.
Send a request to our Data Privacy Officer at privacy@nextxi.co.za. Tell us which enquiry you mean and what you are requesting. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity before responding.
Questions or complaints
Contact our Data Privacy Officer first if you have a question or concern about how your enquiry information is handled. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa through its POPIA complaints service.
You can read the official Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 on the South African Government website.
