NextXI Africa and Spiideo announce five-year youth football video and data partnership for Southern Africa
The agreement brings Spiideo’s automated capture, broadcast, analysis and data platform to youth football leagues in South Africa and the wider COSAFA region.
Cape Town, South Africa / 20 October 2026
NextXI Africa and Spiideo are pleased to announce a five-year agreement that brings Spiideo’s automated video and data platform to youth football leagues in South Africa and the broader Southern Africa geographic region falling under the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA). It is the first partnership of this magnitude Spiideo has entered in Africa, and the two organisations intend to grow it over the coming years.
Under the agreement, NextXI will deploy cameras from Spiideo’s new enhanced S-Line range across its youth competition properties. The Spiideo platform and cameras give NextXI the ability to offer its league and federation partners a connected set of solutions covering automated broadcast production through Spiideo Play, video sharing through Spiideo League Exchange, performance and tactical analysis through Spiideo Perform, and automated data through Spiideo AutoData.
The partnership brings African youth football in line with the innovation now standard in leading youth leagues around the world. Every fixture captured under a NextXI property becomes a recorded match with data attached, so promising players are showcased to a global audience and assessed against standards accepted across the game.
“We are building a platform that gives youth football in this region the visibility and the standards it deserves. Spiideo gives us the production, sharing and data layer to do it properly, and it gives every young player a body of work that travels far beyond the field they play on. Our league and federation partners now have access to the tools that leading competitions use, and that opens real pathways for the talent coming through Southern Africa.”
Spiideo’s platform and cameras operate automatically, with arena calibration, cloud processing and multi-angle coverage that removes the need for an operator at every venue. Footage is available live and recorded, which allows coaches to review matches the same day, leagues to publish highlights and full match replays, and scouts to assess players without travelling to the ground.
“This partnership brings our full cloud platform to a region with an extraordinary depth of young talent. We are proud to make the tools used by professional clubs and leading youth leagues available to leagues and federations across Southern Africa, and to work with a partner who understands how youth football is built.”
Leagues, federations and clubs interested in joining the programme can reach NextXI Africa through the contact page.
